Each character may take one slot. If a slot is unoccupied on the day of the event, it may be taken for any character, even if they've already taken another slot. Some slots may be RED, GREEN, or BLUE. Each player may only take one colored slot per month, and may not take the same colored slot two months in a row.

🎉 Orientation Day! Incoming students are shown around campus today, taught the ins and outs of life at Strixhaven, and begin Rush Week activities. During Rush Week, older students sing the praises of their colleges, hoping to draw in new students by the end of the week. For today, students will be safely in the hands of an arcanomechanic campus guide, who will tour campus with them and show them the Biblioplex, the crowning jewel of Strixhaven University.

While touring the Biblioplex, Helmine Blackwater gets separated from the tour group. They quickly find themself irrevocably lost in the labyrinth that is the Biblioplex's stacks... and worse, they feel like something is stalking them around every corner. Luckily, they're quickly rescued by Embrose Lu, the severe and disapproving Dean of Silverquill college, who returns them to the tour group and warns them to never wander too far afield in the Biblioplex.

During the tour, the campus guide warns students not to duel or perform other foolhardy activities, lest they face "appropriate consequences". When Iris Maxentius asks for elaboration, the guide vaguely brushes them off, saying only that the Strixhaven Campus is itself a sentient entity with a wicked sense of humor. After the tour, Ashling Luperca and Astra Luperca decide to learn by doing, and get into a one-on-one scuff with a small audience outside Bow's End Tavern. The skirmish ends with Ashling suffering a narrow loss. Instead of falling unconscious, however, they find themself transmuted into an animate ragdoll puppet. They retain this form until someone heals them or they get some sleep.

Today, a particularly chaotic and stealthy group of upperclassmen have taken it upon themselves to do some light hazing of the freshmen, pelting them with "chaos balloons" (water balloons full of things other than water). Trystan Merrick gets a face full of particularly sticky glitter which takes about a week to come off. Beetle Ruskin takes a balloon to the back of the head which turns their hair rainbow-streaked. Bielobog Anger is perhaps the most unlucky, and has a balloon full of several raw eggs dropped on their head from above. Nobody sees who's responsible for these pranks, and the other upperclassmen are unhelpfully tight-lipped and amused.

It's Open Mic Night at Bow's End Tavern! Students considering pledging to Prismari or Silverquill may be especially interested in attending, as the school's most talented performers show off what they've been working on over the summer.

Myrto Wings Most Splendid makes waves as the only freshman brave enough to take the stage, and their dance routine earns them a standing ovation from the upperclassmen. Afterwards, Lunulata overhears sophomore Prismari Quentillius Melentor give a particularly harsh and unfair review of the performance to a friend. Sounds like someone's jealous!

At the end of the night, Arlo Snapdragon notices that Javenesh Stoutclaw has been left by his coworkers to clean and close up alone. They offer to help him out, and he seems genuinely surprised by the offer. Once everyone else is gone, Javenesh's gruff persona melts away. Turns out he's actually a really nice guy!

Today, all students meet in the grand hall of the Biblioplex to participate in the Pledge Ceremony. This is where students officially choose which college they will join. During this process, Resident Advisors are also assigned their jobs by laying their hand on the shell of a intricately carved marble turtle statue. If the turtle's eyes glow, congratulations. You're an RA now.

🎉 Rush Week party! Hosted by Felisa and her clique of pretty mean girls, this party is hosted at a secret location every year. Everyone is invited — if they can find it.

Move-In Day! Characters are shown to their new homes today, and given the full weekend to settle in.

The very first book [Silverquill Student K] picks up when they enter the Athenaeum is entitled "Useful Secrets for the Strixhaven Mage-Student!". Unfortunately, the entire thing seems to be under some sort of enchantment that makes it unreadable.

Cosmo Mallory is just getting the hang of the cosmic telescope at the top of the Plinth when they see something serpentine and scaly drift through their field of view. Weird!

After touring the house, eagle-eyed Velvet Vespertine notices that there's a large hidden room on the ground floor of the Cathedral. No matter what they try, though, they can't seem to find a way into the room.

Orchid Honeymaker finds an injured pest in their new bedroom. With a little love and care, this critter could regain its strength and be a loyal, loving pet.

Adrian Flyte is relaxing by the pool when Yrsa Eggjold decides to cannonball in and leave them completely drenched.

Rhodie Berrycloth oversleeps and is late to class on their first day. Not the best impression to be made!

Edie vch Daffyd, on the other hand, just happens to know every single answer to every single question their professor asks them this morning. If they can bear having a reputation as a teacher's pet, they're right on track to become the favorite student of their Principle's Dean.

Today, Cadoras Damellawar asks [Character R] to deliver a note to Rosie Wuzfeddlims. If they're nosy enough to glance at it, they'll see what at first appears to be an overwrought declaration of love... between the two students' LARP characters.

🎉 Today, the Extracurriculars Faire is being hosted in Archway Commons. If you're thinking about joining an on-campus club or finding a job to earn some pocket change, you'll definitely want to attend.

Seems like the hazing isn't quite over yet, because Felisa Fang begs Ned Underhand to catch her an inkling mascot. When they succeed and bring the messy and irate ink creature back to Felisa, she just laughs and tells them she was joking. Don't take her so seriously next time! Unfortunately for Ned, they've made an enemy for life in this particular inkling.
